The Inaugural Anthony Anderson Golf Classic

The Inaugural Anthony Anderson Golf Classics (“AAGC”) is a two –day celebrity charity event in the beautiful Bighorn Golf course in Palm Desert. Anthony Andersen is the star of Black-ish and host of To Tell the Truth. The proceeds from the event will benefit the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, The Diabetics Association, Boy and Girls Club of America and LA Mission.

The two-day event was produced by Bill Hammond Entertainment. It was kicked off by a reception and elaborate dinner at the Steak House in the beautiful Bighorn Golf Course overlooking the gorgeous valleys and hilltops. It was a star studded event. Celebrities who attended the pre-game reception and dinner includes Beverly Johnson and Debbie Allen. On a personal note, Beverly Johnson who is 64 years old looked so great and was such a gracious celebrity.  I was so pumped to meet Debbie Allen, if you watch Grey’s Anatomy, she appears to have the same personality as in her character Dr. Avery.

Lexus was the title sponsor for the event. Other notable sponsors included Samsung, Chik fil A and Under Armor and many more.

Tournament Day – It was very hot in Palm Desert. The tournament opened around 10 am after a very expansive breakfast. Celebrities who teed it up included Anthony Andersen, George Lopez, Eddie van Halen, Beverly Johnson and many more.
